Red October is back. I cannot wait for tomorrow at 8:00 when we absolutely go bananas against Jesus Luzardo. I keep thinking, the Marlins? Them? Playoff team? I just don’t see it. 84-78, third in the NL East. Like cmon man. Luzardo is 10-9 with a 3.63 ERA. He’s pitched fairly well against the Phillies but nothing that should terrify us. 2 games, 12 1/3 IP, only 5 runs which could be an issue with 14 Ks. I think we’ll be ok because he hasn’t pitched against the Phillies with 45,000 screaming fans at the bank. Wheeler pitching game 1 gives me (almost) no worry. We all saw how he was last year in big games. He just goes out and shoves. The Phils’ starter for game 2 worries me. Aaron Nola is the most rollercoaster pitcher I’ve ever seen play for us. I have no idea who we’ll get. Braxton Garrett on the other hand, has my attention but once again not sweating a ton. Only three guys really terrify me and one of them is Josh Bell just because of the way his stance is. He always makes it seem like he’s gonna hit the ball to Mars every single pitch. The other two are Chisholm and Arraez. Neither of them have hit us very well but they’re pesky at the plate, hitting over .250 each. In short, the Marlins shouldn’t be a pushover but they always seem to keep up with us. Go. Phils. See you for the Phillies-Braves NLDS preview
